![]() ![]() Finally, the wreath was ready to hang on my door and greet my guests, which are typically the mailman and the Amazon Prime delivery guy, but I am sure they appreciate pastel rainbows nonetheless. ![]() PinEven with heavy duty clippers, this step took a little muscle behind it. The rings may slide a little, so make sure to come down that inch or so because you don’t want it to pop out of place! I had one ring come loose while making mine, and I just tied it securely in place using extra yarn. Once all of your pom poms are tied in place, use your heavy duty wire clippers to cut the frame an inch or so below the cross bar that ends the last section of rainbow.Tie these in place on the cross bar that ends your last section of rainbow. I chose white, but of course you could use gray or whatever you want. After you have created your entire rainbow arc, craft 6 (or more if you prefer) extra large cloud colored pom poms.I am glad I found that out before I created extra mint and yellow pom poms!!! They are super time consuming to make, so I would have been kicking myself at the lost minutes. I had planned to go a section farther, but because I was working in sections, I discovered that I was not going to have enough pink for any more. This method also allowed me to make the most of my yarn. As you can see the wreath frame is sectioned off and I found it was easiest to fill one section of pom poms at a time. Below you can see just where they were tied into place, never on those outside rings. You can tie the top color of your rainbow to the ring that is second in. Repeat with the middle color, and then again with the last color.I created 5 pom poms and tied them all onto the third ring in on the form. I started with the minty color which was the bottom of my rainbow arc. Tie your pom poms only to the inside two rings. As you tie, do not tie them to the most outside or most inside ring of the wreath frame as they will flop around too much. To get started, choose one color of pom pom and create 4-5 pom poms using the large maker.Pom pom makers in large and extra large.Wire wreath form (I used this 18″ version).Yarn in 4 colors, 3 for the rainbow arc, and one for the clouds (I like to use inexpensive standard yarn like this for this project).To make this rainbow wreath, you only need a few supplies.
